Lash Extensions

There is a lot of questions surrounding lash extensions so let me try and answer some of those questions to help you decide if lash extensions are the right choice for you.

What are Lash extensions?

Lash extensions are semi-permanent synthetic lash applied to your individual, natural eyelashes. They can be used to create a subtle or dramatic look depending on your preference.

How Long Do they last?

With correct aftercare and maintenance your lash extensions can last indefinitely, but due to your own lashes natural shedding cycle, you will need to have your lashes infilled every 2-3 weeks to maintain the fullness.

Do lash extensions ruin your natural lashes?

The health of your natural lashes is the most of the utmost importance. Healthy natural lashes ensure that you can continue to have lash extensions applied. Its important that the lash extensions applied is not to heavy for your natural lash to hold, causing no unnecessary tension and that the aftercare is followed.

Is a patch test really needed?

Yes a patch test is required 48 hours before your appointment to check for an allergic reaction. All lash techs uses different glues so just because your have been fine at another salon, you will still need a test. we are working with the eyes so this is done for your safety and comfort.

What are the difference between classics, hybrids and volume?

A set of classic lashes are considered to be the most natural, A single lash extension is applied to a single natural lash.

Volume Lashes are fans of multiple lashes applied to a single natural lash. Fans come in different thicknesses so can be used to create a thicker, denser look.

Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic and volume fan lashes. This technique creates beautiful wispy, textured lashes.

Can i wear make up to my appointment?

No. Please make sure your have removed all makeup, especially eye makeup and mascara.

What can i NOT do with my lash extensions?

No getting your lash extensions wet for 24 hours. No tugging, rubbing or applying any oil products to the eye area, this will break down the adhesive. A silk pillowcase is also a great aftercare tool. I do not recommend using mascara, this will clump your lashes together making them harder to clean and maintain.

You need to brush your lashes twice a day with a clean spoolie brush. Removal should be done by a professional.
